A CRIME AGAINST THE WORKING CLASS - The assassination of Mariano Ferreyra, militant of the Partido Obrero
At midday on Wednesday 20, a trade union bureaucracy gang's criminal ambush put an end to the life of Mariano Ferreyra, a member of the Partido Obrero (PO, Workers Party, Argentina).
Another comrade of the PO, Elsa Rodriguez, and several railroad workers remain hospitalized in serious condition.
The murderous bullets defended the lucrative business of labor sub-contracting, linking the 'K' businessmen, the government and the railway union bureaucracy.
With the money from government subsidies, privatized railway companies pay million-dollar contracts to "companies" that they own themselves.
The Pedraza railway union bureaucracy is an agent whose job it is to defend these deals.
"We have to find those responsible," said the President, after dedicating a public event in North Park to the lack of flavor in large strawberries, seven hours after the murderous attack.
But the testimonies and videos accuse the railway gang without a shadow of a doubt.
These same videos testify that the police liberated the area where the gang set up the ambush.
"We have to investigate," ssid the government that defends the Juventud Sindical Peronista (Peronist Trade Union Youth Association), the armed wing of the union bureaucracy in the '70s.
The government has repeated that they are not "repressing" [the workers] but are we not in the presence of the outsourcing of repression to street gangs, as happened in the case of the Hospital Francés (French Hospital), or as occurs in the case of the subway workers, at the hands of the the bureaucracy of the UTA (Argentine Union of Transport Workers)?
Mariano became an activist at the age of fourteen; he sought out his place in the working class as a lathe operator, but above all, as an organizer of youth organizations, and began to fight side by side for the class struggle organization of the working class, no less than in Avellaneda.
Mariano is the finest human example of our youth, standing up the world over.
All of us, militants of the Partido Obrero, are Mariano.
Mariano's struggle summarizes those of the Partido Obrero, and those of our working class.
It pains us to say, so early, "hasta la victoria, siempre" ("until victory, forever.").
