Repression of left activists in Russia
The Workers Revolutionary Party (EEK), Greek Section of the Coordinating Committee for the Re-foundation of the Fourth International, condemns the continuing campaign of repression of left activists in Russia. Its latest ( but, we are afraid, not last) victims are the 34 years old lawyer and left anti-fascist Stanislaw Markelov and the 25 years old journalist and anarchist Anastasiya Baburova who were assassinated on January 19, in the center of Moscow. Both they returned from a press conference where Stanislaw Markelov protested against the early release of colonel Budanov, responsible for the brutal assassination of a young Chechen girl, Elsa Kungayeva.
The same day, Anton Stradynov, a 20 years old member of the "National Bolshevik Party" of Limonov has been beaten to death near a metro station in Moscow.
Responsible for these crimes is the Bonapartist restorationist regime of Putin's siloviki that tries to prevent through State terrorism the coming wave of mass protests and mobilizations generated by the galloping economic and social crisis of world capitalism.
We call the workers' movement and the youth in Greece that rebelled against State terrorism and the government of the assassins of young Alexis to express in practice their condemnation of State terrorism in Russia and their solidarity to the Russian left activists.
